It’s funny, the longer I’ve been a photographe

It’s funny, the longer I’ve been a photographer (almost 9 years yikes 😬) the less I do to images. Years ago I loved me a dramatic before and after edit, dabbled in the latest editing trends, or altered an image to fit a color palette. Now don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking any of that. For my personal work though, the purpose of photography has shifted as I have watched my children move from babies, to toddlers, to kids. Me picking up my camera now is a way for me to capture something exactly how it was. I want to capture the tone of the light, the color it cast on our skin, and yes even those wrinkles under my eyes. Because nature just as it is is perfection, so are we, and by capturing it just as it is it gives me a ticket back to this moment. *my edit, swipe for straight out of camera
