I am still absolutely in awe of the beautiful Galentines lunch I was invited to be apart of this past weekend. I feel so honoured to have been invited to such a gorgeous event. And also, I have not eaten that well in weeks, Jas, our lovely host, is an incredible cook in addition to hosting her butt off.
The Menu. More on the food because it was 3 courses of yum! Usually, when I mention to a dinner host that I’m celiac I say it sheepishly because I know it’s annoying and can stress people out. Nope not Jas, everything at our table was gluten-free and incredibly delicious! Also can we all just admire how beautiful her acrylic menu and name tags from Wedding Lux were?!
We sipped on Pinot Gris and Syrah graciously supplied by one of my favourite wineries; Sandhill

The Flowers. Few things in life make me more giddy than a beautiful bouquet of pastel florals, like come on! Bezaire Event and Floral Design really blew us all away with her work.

The Connections. The most important and memorable piece of the afternoon was the conversations and connections. Jas really made us all feel like queens with every detail right down to a love note on each of our plates. We chatted, laughed (a lot) and shared a little bit of ourselves with each other over lunch.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I can’t believe my lucky stars that I have met so many incredible woman since moving back to Courtenay, B.C. I encourage everyone who reads this to take a leap of faith and connect with likeminded woman, it doesn’t have to be a fancy galentines lunch (oh but it’s so fun if you want it to be!) but having a community of woman with similar goals to share the highs and lows with, is everything!

Thank you for being here,
xo
