Edmonton Family Photographer with the Waljis
Just when I thought fall was here early and started pulling out my sweaters, leggings, and apple recipes, summer had a resurgence! This past week has been super hot and sunny. And I’ve been lucky to have a few more beautiful family summer sessions in the books.
Unfortunately, the mosquito population also seemed to have a resurgence this past week, and I and this lovely family have a few hundred bites on us this morning. Luckily we got some gorgeous shots at least 😛
Ihsan, the Walji’s youngest child was turning one, and they wanted a family session to document him at this time. He is funny, sweet, and a very solid little walker for 1! His big sister Aiza is a hoot, loving to dance and talk about her princess dress and beautiful princess boots. We had such a fun session just hanging out, playing, blowing bubbles, and exploring weed fields. The Walji’s also clearly read my style guide as their outfits were beautifully coordinated, and as you can see greatly added to the cohesiveness of this session.
Sessions that capture who you authentically are with your family are so much more valuable than posed forced smiles. Catching genuine laughs and cuddles will mean the world to you years later, that I can promise you. I adore the photos I have of my kids and I cuddling, playing, and interacting. They not only show what you look like but what you are like as a mother and a family.
Thank you for being here,
