Edmonton Family Photographer
I love chance encounters! I was browsing homesense (my guilty pleasure) when a lovely woman commented on how sweet my two munchkins were (who were actually behaving themselves in this moment). We got to chatting and it came up that I was a photographer. She mentioned she had an aging pup that was so dear to her family. She wanted a way to capture some memories with him that she could treasure forever. We exchanged contact info and a week later set up a session. And I am so glad we did!
This family was so wonderful (and extremely stylish); a truly tight knit family that loves spending time together and with their darling little dog, Rajah. Rajah is a beautiful German Shepard with the richest golden coat I ever did see! It was a rare spring like evening in Edmonton (where is actually was NOT snowing!). We went down to Sir William Laurier Park and took a stroll along the river. We climbed on rocks and waded in the river (ok I did, I didn’t make them…anything for the shot right?!) and just hung out with Rajah and chatted! What I would imagine a normal family walk would look like for these folks (except with a professional photographer paparazzi-ing them).
Pets are such a special part of our families, it is so important to include them in family sessions; to have a piece of them forever, that can live on your walls, and in your albums. If all you have are iphone photos of your pet it is time to think about bringing them to a session! This gorgeous golden session made me long for spring and summer golden hour shoots again. Let’s chat if you’re due for some family shots, and bring your fur babies!
Thank you for letting me cuddle you Rajah 🙂
